IEC 61851 Pendulum Impact Testing Device – Mechanical Strength Test for EV Charging Piles
Applicable Standards:
IEC60068-2-75:2014
IEC62262:2021
IEC 61851-1-2017
IEC 62477-1:2022
Test Specimen and Scope:
Electric vehicle AC/DC charging piles, transformer cabinets, and metering boxes.
Test Purpose:
This equipment is used to perform mechanical strength testing on EV charging piles or transformer cabinets used in electric vehicle charging systems.
Test Principle:
Test Eh a: Pendulum Hammer Impact
The impact element is released freely through a 1-meter pendulum tube from a defined height and strikes the specimen at the lowest vertical position. The test is achieved by converting gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy.
Test Eh c: Vertical Free Fall Hammer Impact
The impact element falls vertically through a guide tube from a specified height in a static state and impacts the horizontal surface of the specimen. The test is achieved by converting gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy.
Structure and Features:
As shown in the layout below, the system consists of left and right structures.Left side: pendulum adjustment and release mechanism,Right side: specimen mounting platform
1.The pendulum impact unit is mounted on a wheeled trolley structure, allowing large DC charging piles to be tested from different sides. Small AC/DC chargers can be mounted on the platform including bottom and rear side testing.
2. Both pendulum and vertical drop mechanisms are electrically adjustable in height, with a range of 0.2–2.5 m.
3.Impact angle is adjustable to meet different drop heights, supporting IK06–IK11 energy levels (1–50J).
4. Anti-secondary impact function for pendulum system.
5. Electromagnetic release for both pendulum and drop hammer with remote one-key operation.
6. Quick replacement of impact elements.
7. PLC control system with touch screen and infrared remote control.
8. A3 steel frame with powder-coated finish for high rigidity and stability.
